Thanks to everyone who came out to last night's second-ever Second Life Future Salon, and thanks to those who tuned into the video feed! I'll be posting full write-ups and audio here in the days ahead.
And thanks from everyone to Clark Aldrich, Julian Lombardi, and Betsy Book for presenting; Hudson Stryker and Mizuko Stormwind for the audio (and their 1337 ski11z in fixing truly insidious audio bugs under pressure); Trimda Hedges for the streaming video, and Jade Lily for so kindly allowing us to host the Salon at her Second Life Public Library.
A bug in the server kept us from streaming audio for the first portion of the Salon so I've invited Clark and Julian to elaborate on their presentations in interviews recorded over the phone. If that happens I will also post those here. Betsy's presentation was entirely unaffected and will appear for download as is either here or on IT Conversations.
Betsy also took a bunch of great photos during the Salon, two of which are posted below (top and middle) Edit 5/28: Torley Torgeson has also posted a nice overhead shot on Snapzilla

One of Clark's slides that got a lot of attention Edit 5/28: especially in this post from the Second Life Herald (helpful to read through the comments there) (more on his presentation and new book "Learning By Doing" in upcoming posts):
BTW Falk Bergman wins the prize for being the attendee from farthest away (from, uh, San Francisco, I guess). He joined us from Germany and was among the very last to leave! At around 11 PM EST, with a dozen of us still hanging out and digesting the Salon, he informed us that the morning birds were beginning to chirp outside his window. (If anyone came from further let me know, but Falk, we'll still send you a little something even if. Say Hey to the birds for us! :-)
