Eyebeam's Michael Frumin at Second Life Future Salon This Thursday: OGLE and Moving 3D Between Worlds and Programs

The next Second Life Future Salon is this Thursday the 23rd at 3:30 PM PST with Michael Frumin from Eyebeam OpenLab, "a home for artists, engineers and hackers pioneering open source creativity" in New York City.

Update: check out Mike's slides right here.

We'll stream live audio of Mike discussing his OGLE project (OpenGLExtractor) for taking 3D screen captures from virtual worlds and moving the 3D data into Maya, an industry standard 3D program. So far this has been done with Second Life, World of Warcraft, and Google Earth. See also Eyebeam's Maya2GoogleEarth importer, where objects from SL have already been placed in GE.

OGLE is one of the most significant developments yet towards virtual world and 3D interoperability. If you've come to this blog, you won't want to miss this. We'll get the straight scoop on what it is, what it means, and how it can be used in Second Life and beyond.

We'll meet in the Patagonia sim at Sven Johnson/Csven Concord's new presentation set-up called The Dish. Email me at jerrypaffendorf[at]accelerating[dot]org or IM me as SNOOPYbrown Zamboni in Second Life if you have any questions about the event. Second Life accounts are free if you don't have one yet.

Below is a pic of Mike's avatar, Fruminator Pertwee, and myself standing on The Dish in progress, both in Second Life and ripped into Maya via OGLE:

hello, i'm spamilka

A Brand-name drug is marketed under a specific trade name of a pharmaceutical manufacturer. In most cases, Brand-name drugs are still under patent protection, or the manufacturer is the only source for the product, but also in many countries throughout the world that is not the case and a generic alternative is easily available. A generic drug is made with the same active ingredients in the same dosage form as a brand name drug. The drug is therapeutically equivalent generic drug brand, but is sold under its chemical or "generic" name. - http://www.rxwanted.com

Propecia is used by some balding men to stimulate hair growth. If hair growth is going to occur with the use of finasteride, it usually occurs after the medicine has been used for about 3 months and lasts only as long as the medicine continues to be used. - Discount generic propecia pills http://www.rxwanted.com/generic-propecia.html

hey great effects!!

thanks for all the info...

This article is too simple and too good. Explained everything in simple way.

The online pharmacy no prescription phrase works on two distinct planes; the internet and non prescription medication. But, we are fusing the phrase so that it means something and we can use the constituent parts of the phrase to create an idea. The concept of “online pharmacy no prescription” is designed for the purpose of providing medication over the internet (online) for all those people all over the world who are in dire need of suitable medication at reasonable prices, which is exactly the reason behind generic meds.
